Hand-Stamped Necklace

December 3, 2015 Aika Danayeva
DIY Stamped Necklace

If you saw my posts from here and here, you'll see I always wear my stamped necklace. It has my man's name and I tell people that I wear it in case it. L-O-L, I'm such a jokester.

My friends, overtime, realized that I made this myself and been requesting it from me. I made the above necklace for my friend Melanie and a keychain for Francois for being amazing hosts in Nice, France this past summer. Also, Mel has been asking me to make this necklace for her forever. And it's surprisingly simple and banging with a hammer on a piece of metal is quite calming. This is what you'll need:

  • A stamping bar or circle stamping blanks depending on your style. Personally, I thought the bar looked more modern, but everyone's different
  • Jeweler's Block
  • Letter and Number Stamps
  • Hammer
  • Masking or Scotch Tape
  • Jump rings
  • Lobster Clasps
  • Chain
  • Jewelry pliers
Step 1:

Step 1:

Step 3:

It's hammer time. TIP: make sure you check the direction of your letters! You don't want an upside down T or some Commie letters like a backward "R"!
