As a kid, my mom always loved (I mean LOVED) Gone with the Wind. I always wondered about this place called Djo-gee-ah (Georgia). Gosh dang it, it was a delight! From colonial style houses and Spanish moss hanging off old oak trees to food, it was truly enchanting. (Side note: the food, OH MAI GAWD, the food was everything!)

So funny story, I decided to wear this dress to my friend's graduation party and her fiancee, with every good intention, said that the dress was so lovely that it reminded him of a fancy tablecloth. And not just any fancy table cloth, the super fancy one, the one your Nan brings out once or twice a year. Thanks...I guess? 

You gotta admit, Valentine's Day is a weird holiday. As I have been in a committed relationship for pretty long time, there is no pressure to make this one day anything special. Truth be told, every day with Brady is pretty damn special. I know, I hear your collective sighs and see your eye rolls.

As the last couple of weeks of winter are in session, I can't help but itch for a getaway. Luckily, we booked our trip to .... CUBA!!! When we were taking these photographs, we were legit freezing our asses off. The thought of going to a warm climate was beyond uplifting as we took these photographs. 

Women's March was happening this weekend in DC, NYC, LA, ATL along with numerous other cities around the country and the world. As we enter what, no doubt, will be a very tumultuous 4 years, I wanted to celebrate my minority, immigrant womanhood in my own way.

First of all, Happy New Year! I've been MIA due to the holidays, stressful "adult" things and decided to take a bit of a hiatus. I hope y'all had a lovely end to 2016 and welcoming 2017 on a much happier note. 

As most of you know, last couple of weeks have been pretty stressful for me. To those who don't, my beloved devil/angel Dizzy fell 5 stories and broke both of her back legs. With surgery and recovery it's been not only anxiety inducing, but also financially straining. So I've been avoiding shopping and, instead, trying to recreate some looks. My mom always said that good quality basics goes out of style, so no matter what, you'll look polished.

It's the most wonderful time of the year again! It's Halloween! This year, instead of going out, we decided to watch scary movies (It Follows), drink wine and eat burritos. 

As far as I remember, hanging out on fire escapes was the most peaceful, very New York thing to do. When I was growing in Washington Heights, hanging out on the fire escape either before bed or  occasionally reading on a nice day is an uptown way of pretending that you have a backyard. 

There is something about balloons that creates this child-like wonder and joy in your heart. Fact, one year for my boyfriend's birthday, I filled our living room with balloons and had a surprise party thereafter. 

The weather in NYC is finally getting cool enough for a sweater. With that comes all things fall and oh-so-delightfully basic things like apple pies, hot cocoa and PSL.

The weather in NYC is finally getting cooler and days shorter. As bitter-sweet it is to let summer go, I'm looking forward to all the holidays that we will have. 

Summer's slowly coming to a close and with that, the warm weather. With the transitional weather, I've been living in this army jacket (also, I bedazzled it). 

I won't lie, but I think I'm a crazy cat lady. Eh? EH? Yeah ... I am. Anyway, when I saw this awesome shirt, I HAD to have it. 

Remember that scene in Sex and the City when Samantha sees Steve through all the people and they live happily ever after? Well try getting to the Brooklyn Bridge before all the tourists. Now THAT'S a skill. 

Although summer's coming to an end soon-ish, the sweltering temperatures make me wish for December and Christmas time. As I'm obsessed with Home Alone, hanging out around Plaza's food court seemed like a good idea until you realized that it was Sunday and August. 

Charlotte and I have been friends for quite a while. I met her the first time around 2007 when I went to Paris for the summer and she was my host sister. 

I've seen this off the shoulder trend popping up everywhere and I was like, why not give it a go. Although photos turn out picturesque, the logistics of wearing it are kind of annoying. 

My friend Francois once said, as we were prancing around in Eze last summer and after I ripped my dress - "It's not easy being a princess." I had this idea of wearing a feather light dress and going up to the Met Cloisters as it's super Medieval.
