This year, I hosted my first Friendsgiving. I was never into Thanksgiving to begin with, but because of my man, I became obsessed. Even my friend Elise, in her short year that she was in U.S. of A., decided to take that tradition back with her to mother France.
So I decided to go ahead and make my friends a feast. I decorated the place with two cats "helping" me by 1) eating the flowers and 2) being cute.
Considering that NYC living space is quite limited, i.e. no fridge space, I shoved the 15 lbs turkey into a cooler along with mirepoix, sage, thyme, rosemary, water and tons of water and put it on the fire escape. Surprisingly, the results were, and I quote, "That's one juicy turkey." So here's to old friends, new friends and all the delicious food we can enjoy :-)
