I was always a fan of Halloween. Even back when living in Kazakhstan where we just learned about it and pumpkins weren't really a thing yet, I became obsessed with this holiday. Only after experiencing my first trick or treating in NYC did I become an addict. I mean, CANDY FOR DAYS! For the record, I have undergone numerous dental surgeries and 2 of the teeth in my mouth aren't mine.
I always look forward to the holidays, regardless of the weather, and ever since I started living on my own, I try to incorporate those things in my house. I essentially force the holidays onto my boyfriend and my roommates. I think they secretly like it though (admit it guys!).
With that said, I don't go full fledged crazy. Just small touches to make it a bit more festive. I made my own apothecary bottles, decorative pumpkins were from Trader Joe's and the rest of the stuff from the costume store across the street from my house. I hope you find some inspiration for your home :-)
P.S. Excuse the cat hair on the black tablecloth. Dizzy likes to steal those plastic spiders and play with them. #catownerproblems
